Dance companies from around the nation join Moving Together - A Cause for Dance a benefit performance for Ballet Nouveau Colorado 07/29/2010  7:00 PM to 9:00 PM The power of community is a strong message that will come alive the evening of Thursday, July 29th as dancers from across the nation share the stage with Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC) to present Moving Together- A Cause for Dance. This benefit performance will raise funds to help reduce the financial shortfall of the company’s current operating budget. World-class dance companies from all over the country are sending leading dancers to perform in support of BNC. Confirmed participants at release time include: Oregon Ballet Theatre, The Washington Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Ballet Memphis, Smuin Ballet and Trey McIntyre Project. More organizations will be announced as they are confirmed.   The Performing Arts Complex at Pinnacle Charter School has provided the use of their theater for the performance. Airline miles have been donated by BNC supporters including White Bird Dance (Portland, OR), and all of the performers are volunteering their time. Media support is being provided by Denver Magazine, and HBurger is hosting an exclusive post-performance reception where VIP guests can meet and mingle with the artists.   Since BNC announced its urgent plea on July 8th, an inspiring outpouring of support and encouragement has come from across Denver and around the country. The organization’s shortfall has decreased to $181,000 and letters and words of support continue to come in from arts leaders across the nation.   “The company’s dedication to excellence, creativity and innovation has earned them a wonderful reputation- the buzz about the company is high.
